Here I am sitting on the front steps of our Bed & Breakfast. My rating?? About a 6 out of 10. Ok, but nothing to brag about. If you want luxury, stay somewhere else. If you just want a place to sleep that near the subway, this is GREAT! LOL

Here we are in Little Italy. Notice the classy black garbage bags. No Mr. Police Officer, this really is garbage....I swear.
The weekend of the 10th I went to NYC with some girls ONLY. That's right, a girls only weekend. It was a lot of fun. We stayed in a bed & breakfast in Brooklyn, not too far from the Subway which was our only means of transportation. We spent the entire first day shopping in Chinatown. And of course we had lunch in Little Italy. I had a great time shopping with GIRLS without any MEN around! LOL And no toddler screaming and crying. Yes, I was enjoying every second.
We also took a ferry to Staten Island and captured some pics of the Statue of Liberty. We walked by Ground Zero and through Times Square.... we saw the sights. We're thinking of doing it again sometime in the spring. :) Let me say- shopping in Chinatown was quite the adventure. I LOVED bargaining them down. OMG it was a blast. I came home with several purses and bottles of perfume.... like a kid in a candy store. Here are a few pics from the trip.

There are a total of 45 purses on that bed. I can honestly say that only 6 of them (I think) are mine. hehehehehe 45 purses between 7 women...that's not too bad, right?

I'm not a tree hugger...I'm a stripper without her pole. This was a shot for the hubby. Oh- please notice the beautiful tree and nice green grass. This shot was taken in Central Park!

We took a carriage ride through Central Park and this was our horse, Lucky. He was the biggest damn horse there.

The poor guy has to walk through that big ass park so many times every day....I thought he needed a carrot. I'm laughing, but I had a moment where I about pissed my pants b/c I thought he was going to knock me over.

Yeah that's right. I wanted to kiss the horse. I love animals. And I haven't had any tongue action in THREE WEEKS. Did I mention Jon's been out of town all month? Yeah so this was my peice of action. Don't judge me.

The bed of purses scared me! Glad they weren't all yours!! Oh, NY, NY. I miss it. I'm originally from NY. I grew up in Spanish Harlem (102nd st and 3rd ave). Since my Dad is now gone I don't see me visiting as much. I still call it home though. Looks like you had a marvelous time. Thanks so much for sharing, it brought back some good memories. I really miss Central Park.
OMG! I was wondering what has been going on with you. That looks like such a blast. I was thinking of taking a trip there this year and still might just do it before the year is over. I love the pics.
What a trip! It looked like so much fun! Thanks for sharing the great pictures! I was wondering what happened to you! You look fantastic, BTW...
Looks like fun, but what have you been up to since? I finally posted something new if you're interested. Haven't been on any blogs in months. Hope everything is going good and you had a great summer.
