I am spent. Had an awesome workout tonight after work. Lifted BACK and then did HIIT on the treadmill followed by 10min on the stepmill. My intentions were to do 30min on the stepmill but OMG after that HIIT I was dyin! My body needed that...it was killer. I can't wait until I'm feeling faster and stronger. My endurance has some catching up to do.
My eating is going well, staying clean so far. I've really been trying to eat a variety of foods rather than sticking to the same thing day in and day out. That's how I go crazy and binge....chicken & broccoli for every meal can make one go insane in the membrane. If I could do it, it would be a much easier way to track calories, but I'm not ready for that yet. I'm going to try and do things a bit smarter this time around and ease my body into that. I've been eating high fiber cereal w/ berries for breakfast (which I LOVE each morning, I look forward to it). I'm making sure to take plenty of chopped veggies with me to snack on at work, along with fruits, & a yogurt mid-morning. I have a good amount of protein with lunch and a shake with fruit in the afternoon. I was reading on t-nation about powerhouse foods...those with the most bang for your buck. I'm happy to say I have several, but not all, of them in my kitchen right now, and am eating them too. (You know, having them in the kitchen and/or fridge doesn't always mean they get eaten!) So I may not be feeling "lean" quite yet, but I have a lot more energy already and I'm feeling darn right GOOD.
In case anyone was wondering what the POWER FOODS consist of...
1. Broccoli
2. Wild Salmon
3. Grass-fed beef
4. Walnuts
5. Olive Oil
6. Blueberries
7. Flaxseeds
8. Pumpkin
9. Spinach
10. Tomatoes
11. Turkey Breast (not deli!)
12. Yogurt
13. Shitake Mushrooms
I haven't a clue where to get "grass-fed beef", but the rest I can handle ;) I've been eating almonds rather than walnuts, so I may need to add those in. Otherwise, I think I'm doing pretty well.
Eat up!

So glad you are feeling better. It doesn't take long huh? I eat the same thing day in and day out. It does get boring but it is just easier that way. I know we carry "grass-fed beef" at our Targets. It is made by Laura's and it is very good. That is the only kind I will buy. Good job on your eating and workout!
Hey girl! Glad you're doing well and back into the thick of things. Great info on the power foods. Don't know where I could get "grass-fed beef" here also.
Keep up the great work!
Just stopping by to say HI. Cute pix!
You have an adorable baby!
Beautiful picture of you and your big boy!
Great list. I thought almonds were the best nut to eat, hmmmm, how interesting.
Happy Belated Mother's Day!
Hope Mother's day was good to you darlin!
