I think maybe I need to start doing either 7wk or 8wk challenges rather than 12. I always seem to go to crap around that timeframe. lol In other words, it's Tuesday and I'm acting like it's still free day (which was actually Saturday!). No workouts and eating has been pretty lousy. No bingeing, thank goodness, but not the best quality choices. I've snuck candy here and there, and even some ice cream yesterday afternoon. BAH! I was on a roll for about 2wks there, gotta find it again. I'm loving the new Blends Forum too, big thanks to Jess for setting that up. =) Maybe seeing all the motivation there will give me a nice kick in the butt to get back on track.

I had the 5K Saturday & then played slowpitch softball all day. We lost our first game @ 4pm, and then won both games at 9pm & at 10pm. After that I went home and showered up to head back to the bar for my best friend's birthday party. There was a band with a street dance so it was a good time. I only had 2 drinks but was feeling pretty good. That's right, I'm a lightweight. Ever tried SPARKS? It was a new beer or something but that stuff tastes just like Red Bull. YUMM-O. I'm sure it was full of sugar but damn was it good, and I was feeling pretty good.

Sunday we had another softball game and lost. I wasn't too bummed b/c if we'd kept winning, we'd have to play up to 4 games, ugh. I love sports and I'm very competitive, but in that 100 degree weather, I was fine with playing only one game. Plus I played in left-center field so I was running my ass like crazy. I had some great hits too. Nothing feels better than cranking over a guy's head in the outfield b/c he'd moved in thinking "a girl won't hit it this far". hehehe

Alright, enough rambling for today. Not much going on as you can tell. Only a week until we leave for TN. There is just so much to pack. I hope I can get it all squeezed in the truck. I'm ready to get there and get settled into a routine. My friend has been calling, excited for me to get there and start working out. :) I'm ready for it too.

I agree about the 12 weeks sometimes feeling too long. I know people who did the 8 week chunks and did well. 8 weeks is enough time to give a workout a try and tweak it when that 8 weeks is up. I guess it keeps things from getting stale. Where is the new forum? Is that where everybody went? It's been kinda quiet today. (I'm bored at home and not really going anywhere...) *sigh* Way to go on the softball games!!!

I wish I had gotten into some kind of sports, but nope, never did. You had a busy day.

OK, so no emails from you today. What's up with that?

I love the 8 week idea. Next go around, I might do that. BTW, get your butt back in gear. No more free days for now. :o) hugs

I think next time I want a challenge I doing 6-8 weeks too. It just makes it that much easier to stay focused.
Hope you get all your stuff in the truck. I know what that is like.

NO MORE FREE DAYS OK!

I agree about making the challenges shorter. 12 weeks is just too much. Great job on the softball games!

I haven't been doing challenges per se for a long time. I just approach each day with a clear mind and do the best I can. I have long-term goals and that helps me a lot. My short-term goals are simple. Eat well, drink lots and get a dam good workout in!!

Sometimes I'm at one day at a time :) Someday I'll work up to two perfect weeks.

Awesome softball story!
