New Job!!

YAY!!! I'm so excited I have to tell you all!! I received a call today and I was offered a position with a company, one I'm extremely happy with! Like Eileen had said, I think you have to really love spending all day with kids (and not need the $$) to accept a position in a preschool. It just doesn't pay enough. I had a phone interview Thursday morning with a co-owner of an optical business. It went very well and he asked me to meet his partner and the VP that afternoon for an interview. They were SO incredibly nice that they offered to have some employees watch Aiden while I met with them! They're extremely family-oriented and down to earth. The interview went better than I could've imagined and today the VP called to make me an offer. OF COURSE I accepted!! Now I need to find childcare for Aiden and then I can start...hopefully sometime next week. I'll pretty much be an assistant working with one of the owners and the VP on projects for the company. This is a better job than I've EVER had, so I'm just thrilled. =)

Week 1 went great! Jon wanted to have our free days on Saturdays, so today was free day. We're taking Sundays off from workouts though, so I still went to the gym today. I think this might work out very well b/c I haven't eaten nearly as bad as I have in the past on free day. I ate some chocolate this afternoon that I bought yesterday just for today, hehe, but later had a tummyache AND a headache. Guess that's what today is for....to remind me why it's important to eat clean all week. I made monkey bread this morning, yummo!!! Tonight we're having pizza. So all in all, not a bad day (when compared to previous free days!).

I'm hoping to go shopping tomorrow for some new clothes. I haven't had to dress up nice for a job in over 2yrs! And then I was in maternity clothes, so those won't work! haha I don't want to load up now though b/c you can believe I plan to go down a size in the next couple weeks/months!! =) Overall, a fantastic start to 2007!
