Let me tell you ladies and gents....SPINNING is a kick ass workout!! Wow. I'd never taken it until Saturday. I went to the Intro to Spinning class- don't let the name fool you, it wasn't easy. We pushed it beyond the 45min mark and went for an hour. I was dripping with sweat when I walked out of there. I think this is going to be a great addition to running. There are spinning classes at 5:15am every M-W-F that I plan on attending and then I'll run & lift on T-Th-Sat. I'm 2wks into this current challenge and I'm feeling a lot better for sure, but I'm not losing weight as quickly as I thought I would. I don't know why I'm complaining about that. I know good and well that this process takes time and you can't expect instant results. So I'll shut up about that. I'm making good food choices and my free days haven't been full out gluttony like they had been in the past. Free day this week was on Saturday...I ate pretty clean the first half of the day b/c I'd been to spinning. After working out I don't really crave anything bad, I just wanted a lot of water and some fruit. But that night....oh baby, we had these huge calzones that were sooooo yummy. I haven't had those in so long. Jon was really craving them so we picked them up as carryout and enjoyed them at home. On the way home I made sure we stopped by Cold Stone Creamery for some ice cream....hehe. Wow, definitely a good free day. =)
Tomorrow starts wk3. I'm doing really well with the diet now that I'm at work everyday. We are both taking our lunches and I make sure to pack snacks as well. I'm able to have my cooler right at my desk and munch freely whenever I need to. My biggest problem is my water intake. When I'm drinking a lot I swear I have to pee every 10min and that wouldn't be good since I need to get some work done and I'd be spending all my time walking back and forth to the bathroom. I'm going to try and drink as much as I can before work even starts and then drink gradually throughout the day...then a lot once I'm home. I just hate drinking at night b/c I'm up all night peeing. Ok enough whining. Oh, someone asked what I do at work. My official title is administrative assistant but it includes a lot more than receptionist work. I work directly with the VP and assist her with projects and marketing. It's for an optical company that has existed for 30yrs but was taken over by new owners just last summer. I work with the owners daily as well and they are great. They're by far the best bosses I've ever had and make me feel so comfortable and welcome. I'm actually a little sad that we'll be moving in July. I don't want to leave this job. Jon's supposedly going to be transferred to West Lafayette in 6mths to take over one of the companies there. I'm not TOO sad though, b/c once we're settled there, we want to try for a 2nd baby. =) And we all know how much fun trying can be. LOL

Yeah for you! You are on the road to another great challenge. I know what you mean about all the water. It is a killer when you are trying to get things done.
I am so glad you like your job and I think it is easier when you are working. I was home all last week and it was pretty tough. I just had to stay busy, busy, busy. Have a super week!
Oh, and I have never taken a spinning class but have seen them and I knew it was tough just by watching.
Spinning is HARD. I tried getting on a bike in the gym and my legs just don't like it. I am looking into buying one for my basement to go along with all my other 'toys', though, so I CAN get used to it. You're doing an amazing job, just stick with it and the results will come.
So glad the job is working out so well. I'm so happy for you. I drink water all night at work and all I can say is thank goodness there's a bathroom nearby. I spend ALOT of time in it!
Glad the new job is going well! ~lol~ about the h2o woes..I hear ya~! & trying sounds Fun!
Your new schedule is crazy. Maybe even krazy. When I see those 5 am spinning classes posted, I always wonder who in the world takes those? Now I know. Coco always makes them sound fun, too.
I'm glad to hear the job is going so well!
I love love love spin class. It is so fun to have an alternative cardio that pushes you to the max like running.
Oh and I hear its a better ride with the clip on shoes (clipless). I will let you know I'm getting the blocks for the clips on my shoes next month.
